Terms of Use & Disclaimer

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the omido mobile application ("omido", the "App"). omido is published by Origami Lab LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms are in addition to Apple's Standard End User License Agreement, which also applies to the App and governs the software license itself. Where Apple's Standard EULA covers the license to use the software, these Terms add the App specific disclaimers below.

1. What omido is and isn't

omido is a vehicle maintenance and modification tracker. It helps you record your vehicles, log services and modifications, plan upcoming maintenance, and keep your own history. Your records are stored on your device and the App works with no account and no internet connection. omido Trunk is an optional paid add on, off by default, that stores a copy of your garage on our servers so it can sync across devices and be recovered.

omido is an organizational and informational tool only. It is not a substitute for your vehicle's official maintenance schedule or owner's manual, the advice of a qualified mechanic or other professional, or the manufacturer's instructions and warnings.

Reminders, service intervals, "due"/"overdue" status, suggestions for breaking in new parts, warranty notes, fuel blend and tuning reference figures, fitment estimates, and any other guidance the App surfaces are general information to help you stay organized. They are not professional, mechanical, legal, or safety advice and may be incomplete, out of date, or inapplicable to your specific vehicle. Always follow your manufacturer's official schedule and consult a qualified professional before acting on anything the App shows.

2. Your data is your responsibility

Your records live on your device, and the accuracy of what the App shows depends on what you enter. You are responsible for the information you put into omido and for keeping your own backups.

If you have not turned on omido Trunk (the default), we do not store your records on our servers and cannot recover them for you if your device is lost, reset, or damaged.

If you have turned on omido Trunk, a copy of your synced garage is stored on our servers, encrypted in transit and at rest, and may be recoverable. omido Trunk is a convenience, not a guaranteed backup service, and we do not warrant that any particular data will be available or recoverable. You remain responsible for keeping your own copies.

omido lets you export your data at any time. Keep your own copies of anything important.

3. Modifications, tuning, and road legality

omido can track modifications, tuning configurations, fuel blends, and similar information that you choose to record. omido does not recommend, encourage, or endorse any modification, tune, or use of your vehicle. Whether a modification or tune is safe, legal for street use, emissions compliant, or permitted in your jurisdiction is solely your responsibility. Some modifications may be illegal for street use, may void your warranty, or may be unsafe. Always comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

4. "As is", no warranty

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or free of errors, or that any information it provides is accurate, complete, or current.

5. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Origami Lab LLC and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, vehicle damage, missed or improperly performed maintenance, financial loss, fines, or personal injury, arising out of or relating to your use of the App or your reliance on it, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; in that case our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.

6. Acceptable use

Use the App only for lawful purposes and only for your own vehicles and records. Do not use the App to violate any law or to infringe anyone's rights.

7. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we will update the version and "Last updated" date above and ask you to accept the revised Terms in the App. Your continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Origami Lab LLC is organized, without regard to conflict of laws principles.
